My 1966 Ford Mustang coupe getting ready for fresh bodywork and paint! : My 1966 Mustang awakens after being in the garage for about 4 years or so. I bought this car in 1998, from a friend who restored it and raced it in the early to mid 80's. His racing days were over as well as his automotive tasted changed to the classy 50's cars. After showing this car for about 8 years (and a few 1/4 mile passes as well), I decided it was time for a new look, as well as a fresh engine. So in late 2005 the restoration began, budget minded because a house purchase was on the horizon! Starting with the engine a 347 stroker, built with the "street fighter" stroker kit from Mustangs Unlimited, then onto the body work. I did a Shelby lower front valance (retaining the front bumper) for more airflow, and a 3" rise fiberglass cowl hood, I plug welded and filled the radio antenna on the front fender as well. Work stopped on the car due to the house purchase, and moving in 2007 so it sat under a cover until the garage was ready. Diving into all the home projects made time pass quickly, but now it is time to finish it and start enjoying it again!!! Freshen up the bodywork, and get some paint on her!!! Watch in HD if you can, enjoy, rate, and comment. Please add me to your friends list and subscribe. Thanks, Enginenut :-) Some engine and car specifications are as follows... Cast steel crankshaft, SRS forged flat top pistons with wrist pins, CNC beam forged 5140 rods, moly rings, CL77bearings, Crane cam, (gotta look up specs.) Cleveland heads, Motorcraft high volume ...
